Obituary for
Micahel Anthony Lowe
Michael Lowe, of Williston (“Big Dog,” “Bubba,” “The Doctor”), The man, The myth, The legend was granted his angel wings on January 30th, 2016 after giving ALS a run for its money. He was born in Burlington on August 23, 1956 son of the late Everett and Theresa (Laliberte) Lowe.
Mike was many things to many people. He was a selfless father and doting husband to his wife of 35-years, Robin Lumbra. He was also a lifelong friend to many.
He was a salesman extraordinaire; grill master, snappy dresser, and landscaping wizard, just to name a few of his special talents.
Mike started his sales career after graduating from Peoples Academy in 1974. He had a 40-year career in automotive sales ending when he retired from Berlin City due to illness in August of 2014.
Dubbed “The Doctor” by hundreds of his repeat customers, he always had a “prescription” for any of their automotive ailments. Mike was known for making long lasting relationships with his customers.
Mike’s family is thankful for the love and life he gave them. He was a loving family man and welcomed everyone with open arms. He demonstrated his love for his family and friends everyday by his actions and words.
His children, Kristin and Jordan, loved him more than words can express and were blessed to have learned many valuable lessons from him; most importantly, that successful people are not gifted; they just work hard, and then succeed on purpose.
When something bad happens in life, you’ll have three choices. You can either let it define you, let it destroy you, or let it strengthen you.
And finally, you should always let your steak rest (at least) 10-15 minutes off the grill before eating it.
He is survived by his loving wife Robin (Lumbra) Lowe of Williston, his son Jordan Lowe and companion Christine Donahue of Essex Jct., daughter Kristin Lowe of Williston, five brothers Joe Lowe of Morrisville, Richard Lowe and wife Sue of Morrisville, David Lowe of Morrisville, Frank Lowe of Hyde Park, Robert Lowe and Jan Fellows of Eden, his sister Alfreda “Che-Che” Kinney and husband Larry of Morrisville, his father-in-law Walter Lumbra of Johnson, brother-in-law Kevin Lumbra and wife Darlene of Hyde Park, Sister-in-law Teela Leach and husband Steve of Morrisville, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was also predeceased by his brother Dana Lowe and grand-dog “Millie”.
