Patricia A. Forguites
Essex Junction - Patricia A. Forguites, 63, passed away Sunday, Sept. 27, 2015, at UVM Medical Center in Burlington, VT.
She was born Feb. 9, 1952 in Batavia, NY; the daughter of Willis and Dorothy (Sole) Shaw. Pat graduated from Batavia High School. She graduated from Onondaga Community College in Syracuse, NY (music) and graduated from Alverno College Milwaukee, WI (music therapy).
Pat enjoyed playing the flute for the Burlington Concert Band and later for the Amateur Musicians Orchestra. She worked in the medical admission office at the University of Vermont for over ten years. Prior to this she was an IBCLC and a La Leche League Leader. She never stopped her support of mothers in their breastfeeding journeys. She did this by being a founder and running VLCA (Vermont Lactation Consultant Association).
Pat was survived by her husband of 40 years, Randy; four children Sarah Forguites and grandson Logan, George Forguites, Dorothy Kress and husband Matthew and granddaughter Hope and grandson to be David, and Anna Boivin and husband Devin; brother, Woody Shaw and wife Jeanie, and sister, Barbara Smith and husband Jeffery; and many nieces and nephews.
The service and reception will be held from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2015, at First Congregational Church in Essex Junction.
