Harry F. Ehret, 69, passed away on Thursday February 12, 2015 at his home in Essex surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Johnson City, NY, on September 25, 1945 son of the late Fred and Marie (Hayes) Ehret. Harry was proud to have served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He married the former Sharon Rozelle on 19 AUG in 1972.

He graduated from Maine Endwell High School in 1963 and received his MBA from Syracuse University after serving his country in 1973. Harry worked for IBM and was a member of Grace Methodist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43years Sharon Ehret of Essex; 4 sons Christian Ehret and wife Shea of Merritt Island, FL; Damon Ehret and wife Catherine of Holliston, MA; Graham Ehret and wife Diem of Cicero, NY; Trevor Ehret and wife Danielle of Brookline, MA; two brothers Tom Ehret and wife Raejean of Johnson City, NY; Curt Ehret of Binghamton, NY; and mother of his son Marcia of Daytona Beach, FL; 7 grandchildren; Elena; Caroline; Colin; Charlotte; Elijah; Benjamin; Patrick; brothers and sisters in-law Barbara MacEachern and Walt of Phoenix, MD; Pelham Rozelle and wife Janice of Cary, IL; Susan Moranda of Deposit, NY; Bruce Rozelle and wife Adrienne of Sudbury, MA; Kay Mathias of Vestal, NY; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday February 15, 2015 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at A W Rich Funeral Home, 57 Main St. Essex Jct., VT 05452. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday February 17, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, Essex Jct. with Reverend Daniel Ames officiating. Inurnment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions in Harry’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
