Sarah Helen (Shortle) Nimick, 59, passed away at her home in Colchester on Saturday May 12, 2012. She was born in Logansport, IN on April 21, 1953 daughter of the late John and Marguerite (Reeves) Shortle. She married Alexander Nimick on July 1, 1982 in New York City.

She is survived by her loving husband Alexander Nimick of Colchester; two brothers John Shortle and wife Joan of NY; David Shortle and wife Carole of MD; three sisters: Sylvia Burgin of IN; Susan Shortle of MO; Margie Shortle and husband Bill Kuster of IN.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday May 15, 2012 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at A. W. Rich Funeral Home – Essex Chapel. A celebration of Sarah’s life will be he held at A. W. Rich Funeral Home – Essex Chapel on Wednesday May 16, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. A graveside service with burial in the family lot will be held in the Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis, Indiana. Memorial contributions in Sarah’s memory may be made to the Unification Church of Vermont or the Women’s Federation for World Peace USA. Arrangements are by A. W.
